Wow, we've just received the wonderful news that the Ducommun Foundation has generously gifted People Helping People with a $5000 check! The Ducommun Foundation is the philanthropic arm of Ducommun Incorporated that addresses community-based and humanitarian needs. Ducommun in Berryville submitted People Helping People for assistance at the local level.
It couldn't have come at a better time. Without the access to on-site fundraisers that have always been our mainstay, prescription need has outstripped donations this year. Fortunately we had enough carry-over from last year to offset the gap initially, but that gap was widening as the pandemic wears on. The Ducommun Foundation check is a huge boost! "In a time of unprecedented need, we stand by all those impacted by this pandemic," said Stephen G. Oswald, chairman, president & chief executive officer. "Ducommun wants to help our neighbors who are struggling, lift up individuals and families, and make a significant difference in our local communities."

Gotahold Brewing in Eureka Springs found a wonderful way to donate to People Helping People ... they donated their Thursday tips for the entire month of July! Wendy and Dave Hartmann presented a check for $750 to PHP board members at a fundraising event on August 6th. That amount will purchase many prescriptions for Carroll County residents. We are so grateful for Wendy and Dave's generosity; starting a new business during pandemic times is pretty remarkable in itself, but they've gone above and beyond to reach out to others in need.
Open since May 2020, Gotahold features the most incredible handcrafted beers in a safe and lovely setting. Live music and great art, too! Visit their brewery and beer garden at 409 West Van Buren, Eureka Springs, and say "thank you!" Curbside pickup available, too. (479) 363-4187. They are working on a food truck, but you're always welcome to bring your own food and have a picnic at the brewery. Lots of places are doing curbside/to-go, including their neighbors -- both the Rowdy Beaver and Gravel Bar deliver. After Covid-19 closure in March, Hobbies and Homesteads is open again! Visit our booth, updated with all sorts of wonderful items. The large open space makes it easy to be Covid-careful while you shop! Proceeds are used to help Carroll County residents purchase needed prescription medicines. Located at 2100 E. Van Buren, Eureka Springs, AR. 479.265.7006 The Eureka Springs High School class for Media, Marketing and Communications taught by Rachael Moyer met with board members of People Helping People last week. The class spent the last semester developing a marketing plan to assist PHP. The students presented an entire marketing analysis complete with PowerPoint presentation and a written report that will enable us to increase our online presence in hopes of getting more donations. We are especially excited about the Facebook recommendations!
Their input was invaluable. The teacher and students are to be commended for all their hard work and help. People Helping People salutes you! People Helping People volunteers staffed the Cornerstone Bank parking lots downtown today and raised a record-breaking $575 in donations. The weather was lovely and traffic plentiful. We thank everyone who paid $5 to park and help support this very worthy cause. And thank you, Cornerstone Bank, for allowing us this fundraising opportunity.
Cornerstone Bank has historically allowed various charities to man the parking lots on weekends; benefiting People Helping People and other charities on many occasions. We are so delighted that the Eureka Springs Independent chose to run an article about our booth at Hobbies and Homestead! We not only have a new, larger location within the building, we've also steady been creeping up the ranking to #3 out of over 70 vendors. Come visit us at 2100 Van Buren and check out our fresh new look. Remember, each purchase helps provide much-needed prescriptions for Carroll County residents.
![]() Merry Christmas from People Helping People! Please come and vote for our Christmas tree at the Crescent Hotel. The tree with the most votes wins a cash award from the Crescent Hotel. The money received goes to help Carroll Country residents in need of prescription assistance. You can't miss our tree, we're the only one with flamingos! It definitely takes a flock to save lives. ![]() It was a packed house last night at the Cathouse Lounge with Cocktails for a Cause benefiting People Helping People. Thanks to all who attended, and especially to the Cathouse staff who outdid themselves with hospitality, fabulous hors d'oeuvres and delightful drinks. The event raised $542 for PHP prescription assistance and an equal amount for our Cocktails partner, Eureka Springs Downtown Network. Special thanks to those who generously donated raffle items; the New Moon Spa/Crescent Hotel for the $100 Spa gift certificate, Wild Blue Yonder for the gorgeous Dakine Messenger bag, Wendy Hartmann for 3 personal training sessions, and Brews for their great decorative gift bag with gift certificate, Brew's mug and bottle of wine!
