Wonderful note from Janell Robertson of the Carroll County Community Foundation:
"We are happy to say that People Helping People will be receiving one of the Giving Tree Grants in the amount of $3,000 for the purchase of medicine. Congratulations! These grant checks will be awarded to our grantees on Thursday, October 11 at 9:00 am at the Carroll County Country Club meeting room, right by the golf course, between Berryville and Eureka Springs. Coffee, tea, and snacks will be provided. When presented your grant check, you will be asked to give a brief explanation of how your grant will be used to support the people of Carroll County. Grants for our Fall Giving Tree come from our Carroll County Giving Tree Endowment. This endowment is made up of small and large tax-deductible contributions (cash, check, stock, insurance, property, IRAs) from people all over Carroll County and Arkansas. This is a perfect testament to the power of an endowment. Donors give their tax-deductible donations, those donations are invested and grow and give back every year. The donor’s dollar continues working in and for the county, giving back to a variety of nonprofits – those that focus on critical care as well the arts and education. This endowment has given back over $276,000 into our community since its inception! And, that is just one of our 36 endowments and funds." Wow! What a fantastic organization; People Helping People is delighted to be a recipient of 2018 Giving Tree Grant! Please join us for the grant award if you can; 9 am Thursday, October 11 at the Carroll County Country Club in Berryville, Arkansas. Comments are closed.
